HISTORY OF
ONG SEONGWU

Pre-debut:
He worked at a cafe and took modeling jobs.He signed as an acting trainee in Fantagio and worked on a short film, Seongwu is Alright, and had a cameo in the webdrama, Idol Fever alongside actors in the same company.He participated in Produce 101 Season 2. He was known for his singing, dancing, entertainment skills and his nickname, Slate Ong. Consistent in Rank A, he finished in 5th place and debuted as an idol in August 2017 with the former boy group named Wanna One.

Debut:
He promoted as a Wanna One member from August 2017 until December 31, 2018. During the promotion, he appeared in several variety shows, became a special emcee on music show broadcasts Mcountdown and Inkigayo, and the group held fan meetings in Asia and a world tour. On January 24-27, 2019, they held an official farewell concert titled Therefore.
2019:
After group activities, he held his first solo fan meeting tour titled Eternity in 3 Asian cities in March and April.On May 24, the fandom name WELO was announced through VLive. The name had 3 different meanings: We Eternally Love Ong, Seongwu and fans bring each other comfort, and fans desire for him to continue to soar higher as an artist.On July 22, he debuted as an actor in the television drama At Eighteen, starring as Choi Junwoo.
2020:
He released his first digital single We Belong on January 9. The name was a combination of WELO and ONG and was also the title of his 2nd Asia fan meeting tour that started in March 15.He debuted as a solo artist with his first mini album Layers, which he co-produced and co-wrote. The EP has 6 songs, including the lead single Gravity and the fan song We Belong.He made his big screen debut through the musical film **Life is Beautiful. The film was scheduled to premiere on December but was postponed due to COVID-19.
